I got this really rad, new fast car from my husband for Christmas. He has made me promise to park it as far away from the masses as possible in every single parking lot I pull into. I am convinced now after driving this car for one month that it doesn't matter how far away I park. Someone will always come and park next to me.
Why is this?
I think it's because we all want to be part of something. There is a thought process that clicks off in someone's head when they see a car parked all alone in the back corners of a parking lot. They must be thinking, "I wonder why they're parked out there? Maybe they know something I don't know. I'm going to be with them." It's not unlike if you stood on a city street and started to look up. Eventually those standing nearby or walking by would look up too. Could it be that deep yearning we all have to know and belong?
Either that or they just want to slam their door into the side of my brand new car...
